I grew up in the studio with my parents, creators of the Francesca Doll Co. Self taught, they built a world of unending beauty and artistry. Primarily known for working for Walt Disney World in the early eighties- they were commissioned to create dolls exclusively for the various shops there, all hand made by our family- their porcelain, museum quality dolls were eventually sold worldwide for 30 years.

Growing up I was always beside my Mom while she created, occasionally I made it to the ceramic and kiln room to help my Dad. I did everything growing up, from assembling the dolls, sewing them by hand, the ceramics, painting and hand crafting the many props that went with the 300 some different characters.

My favorite thing as a child was a shoebox my Mom gave me for all of my favorite scraps that fell from her work table, ...fabric, buttons, and ribbons. These little scraps seemed to tell a story to me....and I had to keep them.

so... as I grew as an artist it makes perfect sense to me that today my whole studio is filled with scraps in boxes, tattered telling a story of maybe love, or beauty, poetic in thought, maybe somewhere under the night moon, I am dreaming a story to tell...
