Vintage Christmas Angel, Angel Gift Tag, Mixed Media Tag, Victorian Tag, Handmade Ornament


Sweet little Victorian scrap ephemera image, these are just gorgeous images of the years gone past...my favorite Christmas images to use. I have used different tags on these than I usually use (the standard size manilla shipping tags) these are made from extra heavy eggshell color card stock and are larger measuring at 3x5.5 in.

I have embellished these using my usual items of: some or all of the following listed here, antique laces, bridal trims, bridal laces, vintage fabrics and trims, ribbons and seam binding, silk flowers, vintage millinery flowers, paper flowers, handmade satin ribbon flowers, gold silk threads, pearls, beads, rhinestones vintage and newer, vintage jewelry, wax seals, tulle, and glitter, paints and steciling mediums.
Each design is created starting out with layers of vintage fabrics and lace, like a foundation, then I choose from hundreds of images- sometimes it is a beautiful rose, or a little bird, or the decadent Marie Antoinette- Once this is chosen, I go through my large selection of vintage scraps...trims, flowers, ribbons and antique laces, eyelets and fabrics, I begin to compose my original works of art. Sometimes these can take several hours, or even days to complete.
